Winter Program
Every year the HeLaS implements a Winter Program for learning the Greek Language, that is addressed to those interested in learning the Greek Language and Culture and live in the area of Ioannina.
Duration of the Program
October - May
Teaching hours
9.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
Monday to Wednesday
4 hours/day
12 hours/week
Registrations 11st September - 30 September
Applications beyond the course start date are consedered on a case - by- case basis

A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2
As long as a minimum number of participants is reached at each level

Certificate of attendance
At the end of the Program a Certificate of Attendance is provided to the students who have attended 70% of the Program and have succesfully participated in the final exam.

Educational activities
Traditional dance lessons, educational trips and other educational activities.
(Provided the minimum number of participants is completed)
The cost is borne by the participants

Greek Language Certification
The Center for the Study of the Hellenic Language and Culture of the University of Ioannina is an official Examination Center of the Centre for the Greek Language of Thessaloniki and students have the option to participate in the Greek Language exams held in May.
Tuition Fees
750 euros
- 1st installment: 400 euros (deposit)
- 2nd installment: 350 euros (until 15th February)
The amount of the deposit is not refundable in case of interruption or cancellation of participation in the program.
